Motron's Day Out
Escaping Bobby Fisher
Motron weaved in and out of the tables leisurely. His owners had brought him out for the day. It was sunny and warm, perfect weather for lazing about, which he had been doing, until a certain five-year-old had spotted him.
The shriek of “kitty” - one of the few words Motron knew - was enough to send a warning down his spine. He had instantly got to his feet and headed to find a safer spot away from the child who was running towards him arms outstretched ready to pick him up, yelling about the “kitty”.
He usually ducked and slithered away when people tried to pet him or if they tried too hard, he brought out the claws. Little Bobby Fisher might end up with a scratch if he continued his pursuit of Motron. But that most likely wouldn’t happen as Motron was currently high tailing it in the opposite direction heading for the safety of the dessert table.
This hadn’t deterred the little boy from wanting to pet the fuzzy creature. Motron however ran faster and was stealthier because he managed to make it under the dessert table before Bobby could get his hands on him. It wasn’t all his prowess though, as Bobby had gotten distracted by a yellow balloon floating by, but Motron still sat licking his paw in triumph.
